SAKURA KAI was proposed by VTG to JÄGER CRAFT DESIGN as a pouch to be attached primarily to a belt, and was designed and produced as a collaborative, specially ordered, improved version of the existing SAKURA POUCH.

With the desire to provide sufficient equipment for the limited MOLLE slots, the SAKURA Kai is more compact than the existing model, with a width of about 40 mm shorter than one MOLLE row. It is MOLLE compatible, but also has belt loops that can accommodate belts up to about 2 inches in length.

This product is classified as a utility pouch, but it is designed to carry magazines as well as function as a pouch. The SAKURA Kai combines a magazine pouch and a utility pouch, making it highly versatile.

The distinctive flap uses a large pull tab and Velcro for easy one-handed access. The laser-cut petal-like flap has a larger surface area than a normal flap, making it easier to close even when storing large items. The flap is removable and can be used in an open-top state.

The pouch has a slanted opening, making it easy to put things in and take them out, and can store a variety of items. The inside has a Velcro divider, so you can put in an insert to keep things organized.

The back row inside the pouch has expandable slots.
This can be used as a magazine pouch by combining it with various inserts sold by VOLK. It can also insert 7.62mm magazines, so it can be used regardless of the type of gun.

The SAKURA pouch, designed by Jaeger Craft, was developed in response to a request from an active duty member of the Self-Defense Forces to have it scaled down to fit the waists of Asians, based on the JSTA pouch by Spiritus Systems.
Among them, the collaboration model, SAKURA Kai, is even more compact than the SAKURA pouch, and serves a necessary and sufficient purpose in today's equipment where space is becoming increasingly limited.
