LR stands for Load Reduction, which means a pad that reduces the burden on the shoulders. This product is made entirely of lightweight, stretchable, water-repellent Flex (SAM1) material, which is designed to prevent wrinkles and looseness when bending. SAM1 is smooth to the touch and has a low coefficient of friction, reducing stress on the shoulders even during agitation.
A slit is made in the center of the pad to reduce tension and to allow for the passage of hydration hoses and cords.
It is mainly used as a shoulder pad by passing it through a 1-inch to 1.5-inch wide webbing strap. The inside is equipped with 5mm thick cushioning material, so it provides firm cushioning for heavy loads.
